Michael Jordan's alma mater, Laney High School, colors has been the inspiration behind these Laney 5 sneakers releasing in January. His high school days aren't remembered by astounding statistics nor by astonishing highlights. Instead during this era he's famously known for being a scrawny 5'11" Sophmore that was cut from his high school team. Laney High's Bucs colors heavily take over the entire sneaker. A varsity blue nubuck covers the upper, while a splattered grey and black cover the midsole portion. A chenille like Jordan logo is found on the tongue, resembling the furry letters on Varsity Jackets.
